Purity of heart

Purity of heart concerns the direction of desire and the way people are seen. It calls for an integrated love that respects persons rather than reducing them to objects of possession or consumption. Modesty has personal and cultural dimensions and should never become an excuse to blame victims for another person’s wrongdoing. Growth involves prayer, self-knowledge, and honest care for one’s habits.
