Goods, work, poverty and social teaching
Property and economic activity are ordered to human dignity and the good of all. The commandment rejects theft, fraud, exploitation, and neglect of duties to workers and neighbors. Catholic social teaching addresses just wages, the poor, migration, economic structures, and responsible care for creation. Private ownership brings responsibilities; charity does not remove the demand for justice in how wealth is produced and used.
