Christ's return and judgment

Christian faith looks toward Christ’s return and the final disclosure of truth and justice. This hope resists both predicting a timetable and imagining evil has the last word. Judgment takes seriously human freedom, mercy, and responsibility for others. Expectation of the kingdom should make Christians more attentive to present duties, especially toward those who suffer.
