Doxology and Amen

Doxology directs praise toward God’s kingdom, power, and glory. Different Christian liturgical traditions place the concluding praise in different ways; these differences should not be treated as proof that one tradition has a different Lord’s Prayer. Amen answers God with trust. The prayer ends by turning attention from self-sufficiency toward God’s faithfulness and the hope of the kingdom.
