Vocation and discernment
Every Christian vocation begins with the call to holiness and charity. Marriage, ordained ministry, consecrated life, and other forms of dedicated service involve different gifts and responsibilities. Discernment attends to prayer, freedom, duties, mature desires, sound counsel, and actual opportunities. A powerful feeling alone does not establish a vocation, and good accompaniment does not use pressure or claims of secret certainty.
