Latin liturgical and spiritual traditions

Select a passage to highlight, add a note, or link it to a learning path.

The Latin Church contains a rich range of liturgical and spiritual traditions. The Roman rite is central to many Catholics’ experience but does not exhaust the whole Church. Devotions, local customs, approved liturgical forms, and changing disciplines should be identified precisely. Personal attachment to a practice can be fruitful without making it a test of another Catholic’s faithfulness.
